About Our Lighting

Good lighting is one of the fastest ways to change how a room feels. It adds warmth, defines zones, makes finishes look better, and gives each space the right level of light for how it is used.

Choosing Lighting by Room

Use ceiling fixtures for general light, pendants over islands or dining tables, chandeliers where the room needs a stronger focal point, and flush mounts where ceiling height is limited. Sconces work well in hallways, bedrooms, bathrooms, reading corners, and beside mirrors. Table lamps and floor lamps soften living rooms and bedrooms, while desk and task lighting keeps work areas more focused.

Scale, Height, and Finish

Lighting should match the room size, ceiling height, table width, and sightlines. A fixture that is too small can disappear, while one that is too large can make the room feel tight. For dining areas, center the fixture over the table. For kitchens and counters, use pendants that provide light without blocking views. Finish matters too: warm metals, matte black, glass, fabric shades, and natural textures each change the mood of the room. Layering several light sources usually works better than relying on one overhead fixture.
